We’re Emma and Jordan, a husband-and-wife team — and parents to two young daughters — who traded corporate and engineering careers for a new adventure in the heart of Outback Queensland.
In 2024, we made the move to Charleville, and the Mulga Country Motor Inn, drawn by the idea of creating something special for people — a place that felt genuine, comfortable and quietly memorable. We wanted to build more than just accommodation; we wanted to create a space that encouraged travellers to slow down, connect and truly experience the outback. The kind of place where a warm conversation, a thoughtful detail or a peaceful night’s rest could become the highlight of someone’s journey.
That vision became Mulga Country Motor Inn as it is now — in many ways, an extension of our home. It’s where we work side by side, raise our girls, and share a lifestyle that keeps us grounded. We've only been here a short time, and we've made big changes already, but we're constantly learning and improving as we go.
Now, you’ll find us here every day — welcoming guests, tending the gardens and watching our daughters grow up alongside it all. We’re passionate about helping travellers feel at home and experience what makes Charleville so special — its stories, its skies and its incredible sense of community.
